I’m so happy to be able to bring my love of yoga into our workplace to highlight the importance of wellbeing during Mental Health Awareness Week. Thank you to Ebbon Life for making this happen.
When
Friday 19th May at 12pm on Zoom – option to join live or request a recording.
What To Expect
This 45 minute class will be a gentle introduction to yoga, and will include some breathwork and end with the reward of relaxation.
Equipment
Ideally you’ll have a yoga/exercise mat. If not, go without, but you may just need a folded towel/blanket to protect the knees if you’re joining on a hard floor. If you have any yoga blocks, you’re welcome to use these.
Class Pricing
A minimum £5 donation will be required to join the class, raising money for Cancer Research UK.
Medical Conditions/Injuries
If you have a particular injury or medical injury, please let me know ahead of joining the class (katy@licencecheck.co.uk)

Enhancing your Zoom experience
A couple of pointers to make the most of your Zoom yoga experience:
- The larger the screen, the better the view. I’ve found through my own experience that the best way to join a virtual class is to connect using your device and then mirror your screen (or airplay) onto a smart TV. Joining through a laptop or an iPad/tablet is the next best thing.
- You’ll want to “pin” my screen to ensure your view is uninterrupted. You can either double tap me on your phone or tablet, or click the top corner and select “pin video”.
- The Spotify playlist link enables you to have music in the background but this is entirely optional! Nb – you’ll need to listen through a separate device to the one you are joining on zoom from
- Mat positioning will depend on personal preference and your home space, however some of my students tend to place their mats horizontally so that they can ‘mirror’ me.
- You can join with your camera on or off. Just remember if you choose to turn your camera off I won’t be able to check your alignment. If you do have your camera on, please try and make sure you’re in view where possible so that I can clearly see you and provide tips and cues.
- You’ll be muted on entry, but you are able to unmute yourself at the beginning and end of the class, so please feel free to ask any questions at this time.
- It’s recommended to practice yoga with bare feet or grippy socks to give you stability.
- I can confirm having a blanket and/or cushions makes Savasana (relaxation to close the class) super cosy and relaxing 😴

Looking forward to seeing you on screen!
