Hey!
I’m Katy. I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years and five years ago decided to fully immerse myself within the yoga world and embark on a 200 hours teacher training course – the best decision I have ever made!
I now teach two yoga classes in Derbyshire as well as balance a “regular” day job as a marketing specialist AND being mum to my two children. I’ve also been teaching the Leicester City Football Club first team for the last 3 seasons which has been challenging and rewarding in equal measure! Often people will begin practising yoga on account of its physical rewards such as flexibility, core and muscle strength, tone and balance – you really are serving the ENTIRE body. But it’s the non-physical benefits, which are abundant, that ultimately make yoga what it is; a sense of grounding, headspace, clarity, mindfulness – it’s all there for the taking. The breath is the key to connecting and unlocking these benefits, so guess what, if you can breathe, you can practice* yoga.
When you fall in love with yoga, your journey continues off the mat and it is no longer simply the physical shapes you make with your body, but the connection with, and deep understanding of your true self and the world around you that is completely awe-inspiring.
Come and give it a go, did you ever hear anyone say “I really regret doing yoga today”?
Namaste xx
*It’s always practice, never perfect, as you will continue to learn and develop
